This course introduces the thinking skills model of Creative Problem Solving (CPS).

The focus is on knowledge and understanding of CPS, the main steps and how to apply it to real challenges.

    This course is designed to improve understanding and application of the natural balance between divergent and convergent thinking.  The course focuses on the definition of the model itself, its foundations, main steps and roles. It provides an orientation to the model to understand and experience how to approach problems or challenges in imaginative and innovative ways.

    By participating in this workshop, participants will gain: 

    • An introduction to Creative Thinking: Overview of Thinking Skills
    • The Creative Problem Solving Model Stages 
    • The Creative Change Model
    • Knowledge of the Balance of Thought: Divergent and Convergent Thinking
    • The principle of divergent thinking
    • The principle of convergent thinking
    • The tools for divergent and convergent thinking
    • Knowledge of the roles in a CPS session 
    • Learn how to deliberately develop and support creativity and innovation.
    • Understand creative styles and how to improve personal and group development on creativity
    • Apply CPS thinking skills to real challenges


    All creative studio workshops are highly interactive and contain both individual and group activities. 

    The participants's presence, participation/involvement and contributions are considered an essential part of the creative learning process. Therefore, evaluation at this stage is based on the ability to apply everything learned to personal and business challenges.
